After planning and discussing the organization of the Central Florida
Herding Group Association for 5 long years, it finally came to
fruition in January 2008. This club is for the owners of ALL AKC
recognized (and registered) herding breeds who have a similar interest and
desire to socialize with other breeders and owners within the group.
The initial implementation is for conformation only, but the intent is to
later add on Herding, Obedience, Rally and Agility as well as any other
performance events the AKC will recognize.
At present breeds eligible for conformation are:
Australian Cattle Dog, Australian Shepherd, Bearded Collie, Beauceron,
Belgian Malinois, Belgian Sheepdog, Belgian Tervuren, Border Collie,
Bouvier des Flandres, Briard, Canaan Dog, Cardigan Welsh Corgi,
Collie, German Shepherd Dog, Old English Sheepdog, Pembroke Welsh Corgi,
Polish Lowland Sheepdog, Puli, Shetland Sheepdog, Swedish Vallhund.
Soon to be added is the Pyrenean Shepherd. |
